So, today I updated my 8th gen iPad 10.2 32GB to iPadOS 26. Once finished, I checked Storage.
Basically, nearly two thirds of the capacity is iPadOS/system data.
I compared this to a 32GB iPad Mini 2. This has the same or slightly more actual apps. Total storage used, including the whole OS - less than 6GB.
While I appreciate that things do change, what is needing to use that much space?
I also appreciate that this is the most minimal spec iPad that qualifies for the update, and can't make use of some of it.
I'm not necessarily moaning (honest!), but this does seem a tad excessive...
Enlighten me. Please.
