Im running a minecraft server and i want to block IP's from the firewall rather than the server so that the blocked IP's dont even get through to the server. I mainly want to do this to keep my server from crashing when getting DoS attacked and getting a huge log file full of connection attempts. Is there anything i can download or can i block ip's using terminal.

So the firewall and the server are actually on the same machine? If so then I doubt this will work as a DoS attack would make your machine so busy, it wont matter if it's the server or firewall responding . . .
