Blocked calls keep ringing in ios 8.1

Hi,

Whenever a telemarketer calls I add their number to a contact called "Spam" in ios 8.1 on my iphone 5s. I hit "block this contact" and have about 15 numbers on the contact all under type "mobile".

However, the phone still rings. Isn't the phone NOT supposed to even ring? How do I solve this issue. I have 2 phones and they're getting a lot of spam calls.

What can I do because these telemarketers call early. I already signed up for do not call list but they calls keep coming in. thanks.

Same thing happens to me, even back in iOS 7...
My Spam contact has loads of numbers, but I still get the odd call through from numbers already added, which defeats the purpose!!
