So, this morning I tried to access the MR forums and got a page stating my IP address had be blocked because of a proxy detection issue. Confused, I used the offered admin feedback link and sent it--only to be allowed immediate access.

I'm not using a proxy, but I have a consumer router connected to my Comcast Internet service.

You apparently have a dynamic IP address and your ISP temporarily assigned you an IP address that was used in the past to post forum spam. That's why particular IPs are blocked. Some of them are proxy sites, some are not.

If you hit another one, get your current IP address from a site like this and include it in the message you submit with the Contact form.
