I checked Voicemail on my iPhone X today and found two voicemails from my doctor's officer were listed as Blocked.

I went to Contacts, scrolled down to Block This Caller, and none of the telephone numbers from my doctor's office were listed there.

As these were from my doctor, this is very troubling and something I would like to fix. Can anyone suggest any fixes? I was unable to do so Googling this topic

I’m thinking you’d have better results at the carrier level. For instance, I have Verizon and they have a service (free & paid version) called ‘Call Filter’. On that app I can whitelist as well as blacklist numbers. So depending on your service that may be the easiest fix.

What @turbochgd said.

Aunt and uncle have an ATT unlimited account and ATT's call blocking features were turned on automatically on their account/devices (read: they would not have an inkling that there are call blocker apps).

Might just need to download the Active Armor app and configure it. Bunch of options in there re: what gets through or not.

Or: have some other call filter/block app installed? Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification?

Just discovered it, downloaded it and set it up. However, I am uncertain whether or not I can delete AT&T's Call Protect now that I have ActiveArmor. Might you know the answer?
