Blocking or hiding my IP

I'm from Canada and certain websites I can't view (at least in part anyway) and I had an app on my Mac that either blocked or hid my IP which allowed me to view these sites in full. But I can't seem to remember the name of it. Would anyone happen to know an app that does this?

Pretty much every VPN or proxy site will do this.
