I have some mp4's I remuxed from mkv's, and for some reason they get incredibly pixelated/blocky when played back in Quicktime X. They play just fine in iTunes which i usually much pickier and, naturally, VLC (though for some reason, no video at all shows in MPlayer).
They're H.264, no apparent pattern to the profiles (some with High @ 5.1 play fine, some don't; some with High @ 4 play fine, some don't). Same with bit rate, no pattern. They actually played fine without pixelation as mkv's in QT + Perian, too.
While I suppose it's not a terribly problem, since they do appear to play without blockiness in iTunes, I'd like to be able to figure why they're so blocky in QT after remuxing (both Subler and MKVTools give the same results). Is there somewhere I'm not looking?
