My teacher asked me a question the other day regarding blogs. She wants to put information online about a sickness her dog currently has, hoping to help other owners get through the process. She wants it to be more of a one time thing, but maybe would allow updates or posts.

What would be the best free place to make something like this? I suggested blogger.com

She wants her site to be on google if you search for the condition. Would blogger do this?

try "craigs list"

Blogger...definitely. Free, easy to use.

And when she signs up....have her sign up with the blog title the name of the sickness so the blog name would be:

nameofsickness.blogspot.com

This will help in the rankings.

I'd also recommend Blogger. It's very easy to use and makes adding pictures, video, formatting simple. Make sure that your teacher goes into 'Settings' and chooses to allow the blog to be added to listings and search engines.

WordPress is by far the best blogging platform I've ever worked on. So much more creative control as opposed to Blogger.

I would say to go with either Blogger or Wordpress. They are both easy and quick. Just have her try each out and see how she likes them.
