The iPhone is nothing more than a luxury bauble that will appeal to a few gadget freaks. In terms of its impact on the industry, the iPhone is less relevant.
I think they made a bad prediction with this one...

Actually, we CAN blame him for saying it in 2007.

Don't get me wrong, there were reasonable people who thought the iPhone would fail back then. We can give them a pass if they laid out a logical argument.

But this article uses the old 'it's not a company, it's a cult' line right up front. So, yeah, when he's gonna start off an article by proving he's an idiot...it's fair to call him an idiot.
