My series 6 does not measure blood oxygen on its own. It’s turned on to do so, but it only measures when i physically instigate it in the app.

I have rebooted both watch and phone, and both are updated to current software. Is this a known problem or is my watch just hosed?

‘How tight are you wearing your watch. It takes a pretty tight fitting to get a blood O2 reading.

Not a known software issue as far as I know. Did it ever work? What does the health app show? Did you try to in-pair and re-pair?

It is limited to select countries too. Maybe find if your country is on the list.

It works fine when I manually instigate it every time.

It simply won’t take measurements “throughout the day” as the app advertises its supposed to do. I don’t have lung disease… I’m just annoyed the watch isn’t doing what it’s supposed to do. It sits for days without a single measurement unless manually instigated.

Other things like heart rate measurement are constantly taken throughout the day like it‘s supposed to, which is why it’s strange the o2 measurements aren’t being taken. It’s a series 6 updated with current software. Dissapointing.

I’m sorry it isn’t working as it should for you. My Series 6 takes regular blood oxygen measurements without me ever having to prompt anything:

There is this setting on the iPhone Watch app under privacy:

Maybe flick it off and then back on.

This is the last week…. it quite simply will not take measurements. These are all manually instigated. And yes, everything is turned on In Watch App… triple checked. My apple care + expires in 6 days. Maybe Apple needs to swap It out. Disappointing.
