I believe some of the dot work I have near my wrist is making it challenging for the Blood Oxygen sensor to get a proper reading. It’s kind of hit or miss, I noticed if I move my watch down further it reads much better. Apples website does say that tattoos can impact readings, so I’m not complaining. More of an FYI for those who have tattoos and wanted to know if it actually impacts it. My HR sensor is fine but the O2 measuring must need a “clearer” view.

I have had problems with all apple watches with my tattoos. I've had to use "wrist detection" turned OFF for any text messages, always on display, blood OX to even work right. Strange because with it turned off, AOD works perfect and so does the blood OX test. Turned on, none of those features work. even more strange in my AW5 the AOD worked only sometimes.

I have noticed that the blood oxygen sensor works better on my right arm than on my left. Strange but it somehow does. Whether the skin or the vessels are thinner or closer to the surface, I have not a clue, took me a while to get used to the feel being on my right wrist, but I am getting used to it. Also the tightness of the contact is a factor , it has to be a Goldilocks thing, just not too tight or too loose. Maybe it is the curvature of the sensor. Now it works fine for pulse and EKG. Looking forward to getting a new watch if the glucose is going to be monitored. I am type 2 and that would be nice

None of the sensors work through my wrist tats (on both hands). Constantly turns off the display and cant read hr so it stops my work out. It’s a feels bad.
