Hello,

My right speaker seems to be blown, it makes very odd distorted noises and i am not sure what to do. I tried to visit ifixit.com but could not find how to replace the speaker, which kind of scares me into thinking it is not possible. :( Is this the case? I've been meaning to open up my laptop for awhile now b/c the fan constantly turns on and i think there may be a high accumulation of dust on it; so I am wondering if anyone has also replaced the speakers before or not? Where i could find the part.

Thank You!

Nows the perfect time to upgrade to the new MB/MBP! lol. Best bet would be to find a used or broken one off ebay or wherever and use it for parts.

It sounds like you have a blown subwoofer. If that's the case you really are going to have to remove just about everything in the laptop. Here is the guide from iFixit. Good luck in your repair.
