Hello everyone, here's the story...my left speaker on the bottom doesn't work. I tested by holding a finger over the right speaker & that cut off all sound as opposed to holding a finger over the left speaker where I could hear sound from the right. Will the Apple Store replace my phone? TIA for everyones help.

Ooops, sorry guys! I just saw the sticky about the microphone/speaker thing, if possible could a Mod lock or delete this thread thanks.

I heard a fix is coming out 9/30 along with the antenna and proximity sensor fix since this problem has been around for a long time. Apple needs to get their act together....

There needs to be an IQ test to post here.

No they won't, but I'll give you fifty quid for it! ;)

OMG, guess what my phone is doing! When I test the speakers at the bottom the right one works fine and the left one doesn't work at all. When I flip the phone around the right one stops working but the left one now works. How can Apple sell such junk? ;) :p

you one of those people who think there isnt a antenna or prox problem just cuz u dont have one?

No worries. My first 2G I thought the same thing. I asked everyone I knew with the phone and we all thought we had broken speakers!

why dont these lazy people look for themselves? there is an entire sticky thread dedicated to this very post. it baffles me why people do not try to look for the answer themselves before asking for help.

It baffles me why it bothers you so much....so let's call it even.

iphone underwater

help. i dropped my iphone 4 in the river thames. returned the next day at low tide, left the phone for a day, plugged it in and it worked. kind of unbelievable after 8 hrs submerged in thames water. the only thing that does not work is the speaker ( somewhat useful in a phone ) although it works with the headphones. can i replace the speakers ? im not insured, annoyingly. absolutely amazed that it came back to life though...
