Blu-Ray Drive for Ripping

Hey all,

I am interested in ripping (not watching) my blu-ray collection to my iMac and transcoding with Handbrake.

Curious, if I am only interested in ripping them at this time, could I do it with this drive:

I assume OS X has drivers built in for most drives, since all I am doing is just reading data.

As I look at this thread and look at very bottom, there's a section called "Similar Threads" that appears to have a few threads with a few dozen responses already. Might want to check them out, though I don't know if then one you're asking about works.

And yeah, OSX seems to have pretty wide built-in support. FWIW, I have a cheap LG model that works just fine.
