What about under Windows?

Given a suitable HDCP enabled monitor (such as the Hazro 30 inch) and
the right software (readily available in Windows) is there any reason
why you couldn't play films/movies under Windows?

I don't think that the motherboard/logic board is part of the HDCP chain
(or is it?)

I am thinking of such an arrangement. I built a pc for my son with a LG drive that plays both Blu-Ray and HD, connected to a Dell 2408 monitor and it
works very well but he is off to college in September and will take his
pc with him.

It seems that OWC now has some bluray drives available for the macpro..

I was wondering if anybody has inslalled any of the intenal blu-ray drives on a macpro yet?
thanks
Has anyone installed the Pioneer BDC-202BK Blu-Ray Drive yet? OWC claims that it comes with cables for installation into 2nd optical bay of a Mac Pro system. Is it a simple IDE-to-SATA adapter or it uses extra SATA port on the system board?

I don't need HDCP, I run VMware + AnyDVD. :p
