So.....
I can get Blu-Ray in my MacBook Pro?
This would void my warranty wouldn't it?
Apple I would guess would not install this for me?

If I did this, would it play Blu-Ray movies on my machine given Toast Titanium 8 and some other software?

Yes, it will void your warranty, no Apple will not install it, and no you will not be able to play movies in OS X.

If you check Fastmac's website, the Blu-ray part won't fit in the new uMBP 17".

And it would NOT void your warranty if you did swap it out.

Windows under bootcamp can do it

So this doesn't fit in the new Unibody 17" ?

Any idea when a blu ray drive Will be released for this laptop? Or are we looking at external for a long time to come?
