Yes I have heard about ripping it and getting that application, I would rip it but I need a drive, which is something I cannot afford, thus is there a way to rip blu-ray films without a external drive/player on a Mac book OSX and 10.6.8:confused:

If you want to just watch on the mac, you can simply use BluRay player - from this site:

The software works except for the bluray menu's don't work right (meaning you don't get the animations, etc) - you just can select chapters, etc without all the bluray menu fluff.

You just need a USB/ESATA bluray drive and it will work great. I have an external LG bluray disc writer that works flawlessly. You can also rip blurays using MakeMKV - which is still in beta - then simply use handbrake to open the MKV file generated and convert it to an MP4 video. The mac bluray player will also play bluray native files.
