Quick answer needed.

Am seriously thinking of getting this for a Blu-Ray player, but if you scroll down to just above the comments, you'll see a picture of a Linksys bridge which OWC says will work with a Mac, even though the setup wizard for the device requires a PC.

Two things:

a) Does anyone here have a setup like this working with their Airport base (n other words, you plug the bridge into the player, and it wirelessly communicates to the Airport base)?

and

b) Could Apple's Airport Express be plugged into the player and communicate just as well (or did Sony only allow for the Linksys device)?

It looks like the player just has a regular ethernet port. You can wire it into any Apple router (Express, Extreme or Time Capsule) then set up the router as a wireless bridge through Airport Utility on your computer.
