Thanks. I tried Leawo, but my Mac too;d me the developers need to update the software so it's a no go at right moment.I can't remember the name, but there is at least one free one in the Mac app store called Leawo. It was free when I got it.
It is good for playing the video on Blurays, but the Menu Guide UI on the discs is hardly ever available, meaning you have a list of tracks to play, but no menu guide to navigate through like a typical Blu Ray player.
If you are just looking to watch movies, then I recommend it. If you need a traditional player experience, this probably isn't for you.
I had the menu available for maybe 1 or 2 discs, I am unsure why it only works on some discs.
Are you using Catalina? Thanks. I tried Leawo, but my Mac too;d me the developers need to update the software so it's a no go at right moment.
Maybe it is 32 Bit.Ye I Am
VLC will play Blu-rays and is free and open source. Not the most elegant, but you can't beat the price. Is there any good, preferably free or cheap, Blu-ray player software for an iMac out there?
I tried this a while back, and couldn't get it to work.VLC will play Blu-rays and is free and open source. Not the most elegant, but you can't beat the price.
I couldn’t get it to work either.I tried this a while back, and couldn't get it to work.
Maybe I will look into it again.
Is it available in the UK?I don't know what your idea of cheap is, but if you haven't been featured in the r/choosingbeggars subreddit then you could check out Aiseesoft Mac Blu-ray Player.

No, not the case in my experience. I use a external bluray drive.Could be hardware too? - like an old drive that does not work with Blu-Rays ?
thanksThis is what I've used:
Free Mac Bluray Player for Mac - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download
Download Free Mac Bluray Player latest version for Mac free to try. Free Mac Bluray Player latest update: June 4, 2018download.cnet.com
It runs in either "free mode" or "paid-for mode".
In free mode, there will be a small logo that remains in the upper-left-hand corner.
I just use it that way, and it's good enough for me.
