I can't remember the name, but there is at least one free one in the Mac app store called Leawo. It was free when I got it.

It is good for playing the video on Blurays, but the Menu Guide UI on the discs is hardly ever available, meaning you have a list of tracks to play, but no menu guide to navigate through like a typical Blu Ray player.

If you are just looking to watch movies, then I recommend it. If you need a traditional player experience, this probably isn't for you.

I had the menu available for maybe 1 or 2 discs, I am unsure why it only works on some discs.

Thanks. I tried Leawo, but my Mac too;d me the developers need to update the software so it's a no go at right moment.

Could be hardware too? - like an old drive that does not work with Blu-Rays ?
No, not the case in my experience. I use a external bluray drive.

I just couldn't get VLC to work. I will try it again and report.

This is what I've used:

It runs in either "free mode" or "paid-for mode".

In free mode, there will be a small logo that remains in the upper-left-hand corner.

I just use it that way, and it's good enough for me.

You must be using Catalina?
Works fine in Mojave...

Leawo blu-ray player

However i use PC and PowerDVD is the king. why? it can play bluray folders without any restrictions and menus included.

RIP WinDVD pro.

While not the solution you are looking for, you can rip the Bluray with MakeMKV and play the resultant mkv.

I put the wrong video on here this is the one I got, it must be an updated one that I got like the one in the video
i don,t know why the first reviewer is moaning about it costing more in one unit than buying separate units, you are paying more for it being inserted rather than doing it yourself.
What an idiot.
