I have searched through the forum, there are many posts that mention subtitles. But just wanted to ask since the nightly builds change frequently and I am not sure exactly what is and is not possible.

I am ripping my blu ray movies using 'another eac3to gui' and handbrake on windows 7. It works very well and is only two steps. I have been able to do it so that when I play the movie in vlc player it shows forced subs that i burned in with handbrake, and lets me toggle on and off default subs (english). This is a perfect setup for me, though using avatar as an example, the toggled subs show up on top of the forced, but they line up well so are very readable. I doubt there is a way around that.

Question is, atv2 won't show the optional subs. is that because it was not an srt file? Not sure what the latest nightly can do, but I was able to convert it in the nightly handbrake using the subs built into the mkv, just not sure if that is compatible with atv2 or if i am doing something wrong? Forced subs show fine but it says unknown sub in atv2 and when i select it nothing happens.

Appreciate in advance any help, this is my last thing i need to fix in my workflow.
Thanks,
Peter
