I've been getting that little blue box with the question mark inside in place of pictures on various internet sites. Using safari and i have everything updated, anyone have some solutions for this, or can tell me why i'm getting this? I know refreshing the page sometimes does the trick but it doesn't always work.

That means the file/picture could not be found or read properly.

It usually means whoever owns/runs the website did not link properly.

A good solution to seeing if it's your internet connection timing out on large files, view the source code and find the file/picture link, copy it and put it in a new browser window.

If the picture shows up, it means your internet is slow and/or there are too many collisions on the network to load so much data at once.
