Strange one, this was working when I first installed ML.

In Messages on ML, when I click to read a message the unread blue dot is not disappearing. The Dock icon also shows I have unread messages even though I have clicked on them and read them.

What is going on? This isn't the correct behaviour. Is there a fix perchance?

Every once in a while, mine does this too. It's usually if I haven't turned my MBA on in a few days. iMessage is trying to recover all of the messages that I've sent and received on my i5.

When this happens, find the thread that shows unread and scroll BOTH down and up as far as possible until the dot disappears. Then Command+Q Messages and reopen it.
