Hi,

I have an Apple Watch Series 5 (44 mm and GPS+Cellular). I bought it about 1 year ago. Two months ago, I noticed a small blue mark or dot in the screen, close to the bezel. I have a picture of it.

I contacted Apple and I got a replacement right away at no cost. I received the replacement one month ago and it was flawless.

Today, I noticed the same kind of spot, smaller and on the opposite side of the screen, but it’s with no doubt the same kind of problem. Of course, no case damage, no knocks...

Am I missing something here? I have been Apple user for more than 10 years and I very happy and confortable. Until now, I haven’t had any issues with my devices. It is just bad luck or is it a widespread problem?

Thank you.

That’s one of two things, either a cluster of dead pixels or it’s an ‘impression Mark‘, which is usually from some type of impact from hitting the display. Now, I’m not saying you hit the display, but that’s usually what causes that from impact. It shouldn’t spread, but the only thing you can do is have the display replaced.

I know, but I am careful with my stuff and seems very strange that I hit the display significantly two times and I didn't notice either. Both screen and bezel are flawless, no damage, scratches or signs of any kind. o_O

I think that I still have warranty left till mid January, so I will wait and see what happens.

Am I the only one with this kind of damage on the screen?

I have contacted Apple and my Watch is going to be replaced.

I don't understand why this happened.

I have seen more videos like that with the glass completely broken and they don't have similar spots as mine. I understand that can be damage inside while the screen glass being completely mint condition but in my watches even the aluminium is perfect, with any marks, dents or scratches. This is starting to drive me nuts.

I only use a LK Screen Protector to avoid scratches and a simple silicone stand from Elago. Could be one of these accessories the reason of this issue?

Should I get rid off these accessories?
