Why would they make that middle round button red? That's heinous.

I agree that combination was a major blunder. I work several blocks from J&R and will stop there later to take a closer look at two other Nano selections:

1. J&R blue body with a jet black wheel and ...
2. Maserati gray body with a J&R blue wheel.

I met a person with a 17" Ferrari Red MBP, and his friend had a Smoke White one. They were the most beautiful Apple's I have ever seen. The X2 finish is incredible, too, and they really did not scratch at all... even when they took a knife to it...

 Limited edition Papa Smurf Nano?

Exactly what I was thinking LOL,they are quite cool in a wacky sort of way, I would consider one if they were the same price as a standard Nano but at a premium its a no no for me,

From a design point of view, I think thats cool, I wouldn't have one myself but I'd repect someone for having one, its like guys with black ones just cop-out - as I've said before, everyone went coco-bananas for black and now the white nanos are rare.

Having a light blue one with a red button is different, to quote someone, who once said something, '...think different'

Personally, the light blue with the primary red button makes me think of something I'd see on one of those awful redecorating shows like "Trading Spaces." Blech.

J&R Computer World in NYC also received some iPod mini models in the five colors ... silver, gold, pink, green and blue.
