Jeff Bezo's Blue Origin successfully tested its crew capsule escape system during a launch from its facility in West Texas.
It's really some quite impressive footage. The separation of the capsule from the booster rocket. The extremely controlled deployment of the first the drogue parachutes and then the mains. The gently controlled descent. But the real kicker is when the booster rocket itself returns to land, upright and undamaged, on its own.
I'm not sure millions of us are headed to Mars anytime soon. But it seems increasingly likely that many more of us might be headed to space, courtesy of Mr Bezos, in the not too distant future.
