Hi

I had this idea that just before your computer would go' to sleep it would show the "classic" Windows blue screen, just for 5 seconds or so. I have investigated it and I can't seem to manage how to do it

Would be great if someone could guide me?

Screen savers showing a BSOD (blue screen of death) have been around for years.

I think the best you could do this (easily) is to set the screensaver as a specific picture of the BSoD and then set sleep to happen 1 minute after that.

IE: Screensaver starts in 10 minutes of inactivity and sleep happens in 11 minutes of inactivity.

Another way would be to use this: http://swannman.github.io/scriptsaver/. You can setup the screensaver to use a specific BSoD picture and set it in that app. You can then setup an AppleScript to run upon screensaver and then use this: http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20100424161727333 (Third comment on the Macworld page) AppleScript to put the computer to sleep after a defined amount of time.

Hope this helps!
