Greetings
I'm finding that the sharp edge on my MBP (single casing) causes me to experience severe tennis elbow. So, I thought I'd use my wife's Aluminum Bluetooth keyboard (paired with a Mac Mini w/Intel processor) to eliminate the problem. But I can't seem to make it pair succesfully
The keyboard does pair fine with the MM, but completely fails with my MBP despite trying all the passcode options in BT assistant. BT does discover the keyboard though. I don't have any problems with Bluetooth pairing with mice on the MBP, and can pair the same mice with the Mac Mini without any problems at all. That suggests there's nothing wrong with the MBP Bluetooth software (running OS X 10.6.2, so I'm up to date on the BT keyboard software). Things I have tried are:
1. Making sure the Mac Mini is off so there's no competing machines on BT
2. Replacing the batteries on the keyboard and making sure the green light is on when I attempt to pair with the MBP
3. Checking that the keyboard BT works by connecting it to the Mac Mini with which it is paired (and then turning it off before trying, again to connect to the MBP). It does work, no problems
4. Trying all the possible passcode options in the Bluetooth assistance.
So, what gives? Going to the Apple store is not an option (saw a posting with a similar problem whereby they (Mac dudes) fixed it but no details offered as to what their ju-ju was-not helpful at all). The nearest one is in Miami, two and half hours away by plane. So, any suggestions as to what to do next (besides waiting until I can get to an Apple store) would be much appreciated.
Thanks
