I successfully used my imac to make calls through my iphone using bluephoneelite. I guess the new software updates and SL helped in some way to crush the bugs. Also bluephoneelite updated their software too.

One thing cool is that, once set up and someone calls, you get this option on iphone to listen to your caller via mac, iphone, speakers.

So far so good.
I have yet to try this on macbookpro bluetooth

You cant text using the software though since its not supported yet.

I have been searching for an app to do this for years and I finally found BluePhoneElite 2 this weekend.

It is awesome but for some reason I my volume is really low to the person I am talking to.

There support staff seems very helpful and emailed me back yesterday (on a Sunday).

I hope they can help me fix it. I get so mad when a little $20 device can do something my i7 iMac can't.

Also, why is this option not built into OSX.
