Bluetooth 3.0 in 2011 MBP?

Sup Guys,

Apple says that the 2011 MBP's have bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. iFixit and other sites say that the Chip inside is Bluetooth 3.0 however, i dont get it, so there is a 3.0 chip in the MBP but no 3.0 support??

Anyone know anything about this?

This interests me too. Anyone know? While it'd probably be mostly useless with Bluetooth being used more for peripherals than for anything else, it would be interesting if this is another hardware spec bump that Apple kept quiet.
