Bluetooth 4.0 supports low-powered accessories but bluetooth headsets still use the same amount of power as with previous version of bluetooth. It's better suited for keyboards and other applications where data can be sent in small packages. A quick read at wikipedia confirms: A Bluetooth low energy device used for continuous data transfer would not have a lower power consumption than a comparable Bluetooth device. Click to expand...
