Bluetooth And iPhone 3GS, turn off text/email sounds?

So I just paired my iPhone 3GS with my new audi A4. It works great.

I have a question though. Whenever I get a text or an email, the sound of the alert goes thru the bluetooth to the car speakers. I don't want this to happen, as it cuts off the music. Is there a way to turn all sounds off via bluetooth (aside of course from the telephone calls). Hope that makes sense!
