can you text(sms) with a watch? Whats the range between a iPhone in a jacket and the watch?

yes, I think bluetooth range is 30 feet. I can make watch phone calls outside my house 20 feet away from the phone inside.

When your at your watch face. Slide up to access glances. Scroll all the way to the left. You will see the airplane mode icon among others. On the top it will show either connected, disconnected. If your iPhone is either connected to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, your watch will be able to make calls/text...etc
