Hey folks,

I own a bluetooth headset I used with my MacBook Pro (13", 2010) without any problems.
Then, I connected the same headset to my PC with Windows 7 through a bluetooth dongle and experienced the following behaviour: As long as I only use the headset as stereo earphones, everything's fine. But as soon as I want to use it as "handsfree audio", that is with the microphone activated, the sound would change and become much worse (depths as well as heights fade away, a bit scrambling sometimes).

I tried it on my MBP with Windows 7. There, I even don't have the option to choose between earphones only or handsfree audio, I just connect the device. And sound's fine!

So, it seems to have something to do with the dongle or with the drivers (for the PC, I have an Asus dongle with an Atheros chip and drivers; for the MBP, there aren't seperate drivers as it seems, I dont know exactly).

Do you have any tipps for me how to reach a similar experience as with my MBP Bluetooth through a BT adapter? Should I change drivers, can you recommend a particular BT dongle which works well? Is there perhaps a dongle using the same chip which is built-in into my MBP?

Thanks for advice :)
