Bluetooth audio (calls / video conference only) stutters sporadically?

New 14" MBP M1 Pro-- has anyone had sporadic but almost constant stutter with over bluetooth audio when on a call / video conference? Normal audio is fine, but once the mic is enabeld it gets very stuttery regardless of app.
