Hey all,

Wondering if you can help me. I realise there are threads on this but no-one with same error. I have my Mobile cell phone (Nokia) to allow auto pairing with my MBP. It has worked in the past when it synced my contacts. It also works no problem when I transferred a ringtone to my phone by using the "send file" under the bluetooth icon.

I want to get some photos off there and put them on my MBP but as soon as I click the "Browse Device" the bluetooth app pops up in my dock, tried to connect. Pairs successfully with my phone but then says "Internal Error" (screen cap attached).

What did I do wrong? And how do I fix it so I can get my photos off my phone successfully? Thanks in advance.

-Lisa

Can you send the photo(s) over from the nokia to the mac, rather than connecting the other way round? I know this doesn't solve the error problem but it should at least allow you to get the pictures off the phone.

Hi, thanks fr answering. That is what I am trying to do. Get photos off my Nokia onto my Mac. I'm trying to browse my Nokia to get the photos off it but get the error (see above post and screen cap).

Can sync contacts to and from my Mac so that side of things is OK. Is there another way?

I don't think I made myself clear (sorry). On my nokia you can go to gallery> images> select the photo you want to send to the mac then options> send> send via bluetooth and you should pick up the mac. Then the nokia sends the photo to the mac over bluetooth. Does this work for you?

Thanks ever so much that worked perfectly.
Just while I'm here, is there a way I could send my folders from my phone? For example I don't want to loose all my pics if I should ever sell the phone and sending 1 by 1 would take a long time.

Thanks again :)

I dont think there is a way to do this (definitely not on any nokia I have ever owned) because with bluetooth you can only send one file at a time.

The only way I can think of is if you buy a USB data cable for your phone and it would then show up as a mounted volume on your mac which you could browse like you would do with a normal hard drive allowing you to copy everything over.

Or if your nokia accepts memory cards you could put one in, copy all the pictures over from the phone memory to the card, take the card out and connect it to your mac with a card reader and then copy them over.

It isn't easy is it? Someone needs to invent this feature! :(

Hello!
This browsing thing does work for me but i was just wondering if you can browse them in iphote or something cause i don't like the List view.

Thanks for the help and sorry for interrupting another discussion!

Thanks for the replies all. Those of you coming to this thread asking iPhone Q's, I guess they would be best in the iPhone area than here?

Thanks for that. Will try it later. Sorry for late reply. Forgot about this as I'm not selling the Nokia until May. :)

Hey Lisa,
I wasn't asking anything about the iPhone, I was asking whether I can browse my [Sony Ericcsson] Cellphone on iPhoto instead of this browse list view... sorry anyways.. :D

I know this is an old thread, but it pops up on a google search and there's an easier way to transfer large volumes of photos from a mobile phone to your mac that no one above appears to have mentioned. (yes, I've joined this forum, just to answer this question.... how sad is that?)

Anyway!

On Most Nokia's and Sony Ericsson phones you should find an option to 'mark all'. Once you have marked all, you should be able to send via bluetooth. And the phone will indeed send them all over to your mac, one by one, while you go and do something more interesting, like join a forum!

You also need to have file sharing and bluetooth sharing enabled under system preferences/sharing for this to work. IIRC.

Hope this helps someone with the same problem.
