When on a call originating from my iPhone, and talking on the AirPods, there is no way to change the volume from the in call screen on the Watch. Could’ve sworn this was available on WatchOS 5. Only option on the watch screen is to end the call. Have to use the iPhone to change the in call volume.

Anyone else notice this? Has this always been the case or new to WatchOS 6? I can’t remember.

Same problem when listening to Podcasts or a book or any other program. I gave Apple Feedback notice of the problem. I'm hoping for an update repairing the problem.

Ok, so it’s not just me. Thanks for the reply. Such an inconvenience to have to pull the phone out to change the volume...

Am I going crazy though or was this possible in iOS 12/WatchOS 5?

Yes, there wasn't the problem in the prior versions. What's weird is that in one or two of the audio I've listed, I can see the image of a speaker in the upper right - but tapping on it does no good. It's as if they forgot to activate that icon. I told them that too. It is frustrating. Courage, this too will pass.

One other thing - go to apple.com/feedback and let them know exactly what you have described above. I feel the more people write them, the odds increase that they'll find the complaint worth correcting.

I´m having the same problem and already described it here in another thread.

Try switching off bluetooth on your iPhone or disconnect at least the bluetooth connection to the airpods and then make a phone call from the watch and you will see that you get the volume slider.

It seems that it is caused by the bluetooth handling between watch and phone. I´ve recognized it a long time ago and it doesn´t have to do with the new wOS version. Have written this a couple of time to apple feedback but obviously they don´t have a solution for this yet.

Sometimes I recognized comparable issues when listening music with airpods and choosing songs on the watch.

Really hope that wOS 6.1 will bring a solution for this...
