I just got a call on my Prius with BLU Logic Bluetooth. With my previous LG phone a voice would tell me who was calling: the name if it was in my contacts and the number if it was not. With the iPhone 4s it just played my standard ring tone over the car's audio system.
My Jawbone Icon ear piece still says the number of who is calling but my car does not. Others have reported this same issue on Apple's message board.
It is not a matter of uploading my contact list because 1. there is no way to do that, 2. my old phone did this without doing anything, and 3. my old phone had caller id for numbers not on my contact list and the iPhone 4s does not.
Interestingly, when I talk to the phone via Bluetooth in the car, Siri answers and calls the person I asked. I also asked her to play "Rhianna," which worked outside the car, but in the car she just said "the network is busy."
