I recently purchased a 2006 Honda Accord. I own a Sprint iPhone 4S.

I'd like to listen to my iPhone through my car's audio system. To do this, I have a few options. There's a few boxes that hook into the audio system with a cable running to the iPhone. There's a few, from Parrot and USA Spec, that use Bluetooth for both songs and phone calls. I would like to have Bluetooth for phone calls as well.

I recently drove a 2011 Dodge Avenger with built in A2DP Bluetooth stuff and I tried this out with my iPhone. The sound quality was pretty good (previously used a tape adaptor to a 2000 Taurus). The concern I had was response time and control.

When I would pause the song on my phone, it would pause for a second then resume playing. It would only truly stay paused when pausing from the head unit. When pressing the next button on the head unit it would take between 2-3 seconds to actually change the song.

Is this normal behavior? I don't like this, and if this is to be expected with all Bluetooth kits I'll look elsewhere. If it was a Dodge thing (car wasn't that great either) I'll give them a shot.
