I have a generic bluetooth keyboard I use with my 2018 MacBook Air. About every 2-3 minutes it disconnects, I assume to save battery life, but pressing a key to wake it takes some time and it gets quite annoying. I didn't see anything in the settings, but is there a way to have it never disconnect? I'm fine with the battery dying faster, it's just aggravating when I start typing and nothing happens because it's disconnected.

This is likely controlled by the keyboard, so you need to look for the keyboard manual. Bluetooth is like WiFi and is happy to stay connected for hours.

ok, thank you for your reply. I'll see if I can find anything. Never used a bluetooth device before so I wasn't sure.
