Bluetooth dongle not detected after restart

I have a USB bluetooth dongle and it works fine in OSX Tiger but the problem occurs when i leave it plugged in my G4 and i restart the computer....it then is not detected after the restart, i have to remove it and plug it in again to make OSX detect it...SO my question is how can i make OSX detect the dongle from restart without having to plug it in again?

This is very annoying when i want to use my Wireless keyboard and mouse if anyone knows how i could fix this problem i would be grateful,
