Hey all,

I'm having massive freezing problems with my MBP. When I'm on the road, I use my cell phone as a DUN modem for my MBP. Its cheaper and easier than paying for internet access in airports, or driving to the nearest wi-fi hotspot.

Anyway, this worked fine up until some unknown point in the last two months (the last time I tried this was at the end of January). Now my laptop randomly drops the connection, stating that the other side stopped responding. Thats annoying enough, but now it also randomly freezes the modem icon on my menu bar during the connect phase. That is, when my MBP tries to connect to my phone, the modem icon switches to say "Connecting" but then freezes. Within 30 seconds of this, I get a complete lock up and have to restart. My bluetooth menu bar icon shows being connected to my phone, but my phone is showing no connections.......bottom line, it sucks.

So to sum all of that up: MBP and cell phone suddenly don't play nice with each other. I'm using an LG VX8350 on Verizon, with a Santa Rosa MBP running 10.5.2. Thanks for the help ahead of time!
