Can I transfer a file from my MacBook Pro to an iPhone 4s via Bluetooth?

I saw a YouTube video of a guy that used Bluetooth to send a file from his Mac to his Nokia phone, and thought I could do the same but to my iPhone. I spent a lot of time trying to do this, but was never successful. Then I read that you can't use Bluetooth to send files from Macs/MacBooks to iPhones. Is this correct?

Why would I want to do this?
I am away from home and need to get a file from my MacBook to my iPhone and I don't have my iPhone USB cable, nor do I want to use an untrusted public WiFi to transfer the file via iCloud, email, Dropbox or WiFi transfer/sync, etc.

I read there are some jailbreak solutions for this, but I don't want to jailbreak my iPhone.

Comments and suggestions welcome! Thanks.
