I hope someone has maybe experienced this issue and can put my mind at ease.

Yesterday I bought a new macbook pro 13", installed snow leopard and started the software update. All went as expected until I was prompted to turn off bluetooth devices and plug in the power to install the latest bluetooth firmware (2.0.1).

I clicked on the bluetooth icon on the taskbar and turned bluetooth off. I then clicked on the install button but after a few seconds it told me the installation had failed and that i should restart. I assumed that I could just reinstall it after restart by going through software update but it is no longer there! I checked the installation log through software update and it shows that the update was installed (but as i said I was told the installation had failed).

I opened system profiler and the following information is now showing:
Apple Bluetooth Software Version: 2.2.1f7
Hardware Settings:
MacBookPro’s MacBook Pro:
Address: 00-26-08-cf-c0-3d
Manufacturer: Broadcom
Firmware Version: 180 (368)
Bluetooth Power: On
Discoverable: Yes
HCI Version: 4 ($4)
HCI Revision: 368 ($170)
LMP Version: 4 ($4)
LMP Subversion: 8628 ($21b4)
Device Type (Major): Computer
Device Type (Complete): Macintosh Portable
Composite Class Of Device: 3670284 ($38010c)
Device Class (Major): 1 ($1)
Device Class (Minor): 3 ($3)
Service Class: 448 ($1c0)
Requires Authentication: No

*Was the installation successful?
*Is this the firmware version that others now have after they updated? (180 (368))
*What can i do to attempt a re-install?

Many thanks.
