Hi,

I recently bought a pair of Bluetooth headphones (AKG Y50BT) and while they're pretty awesome, there is one thing that is bugging me slightly.

Lets say I am browsing the web with nothing generating any sound, then I do something that causes macOS to generate a system sound (you know, like the Bottle, Funk, Glass, Frog, Ping etc sound effects). I will heard the headphones sort of switch on and then produce the sound. Then after a few seconds, you can hear what sounds like the headphones disconnecting.

It sounds like it is some kind of power saving measure. Like the headphones and/or macOS are saying 'Right we've played a sound, nothing has happened for 10 seconds so we're going to put this Bluetooth connection to sleep until needed again'.

I do not know whether this is just how Bluetooth headphones work and not a unique story? If it is unavoidable then I am sure I can live with it. I would not though want to to do something that rids me of the problem but causes the length of time the batteries last per charge to tank.

Thoughts? Thanks.
