i hate this problem. i set up a headset just for use ONLY within ichat, but pop in a dvd and the damn thing tries to play the dvd through the headset - EVEN IF I HAVE AN OPTICAL LINE OUT AND HAVE THE DVD PREFS SET "DIGITAL OUT." if the headset is turned off, then i just get an error message every 30 seconds "bluetooth device cannot be found." until i quit the dvd player.

going to the sound prefs panel doesn't help - it doesn't care that the headset is NOT selected as the output device, it still tries to find it.

the only solution is to erase the headset from the bluetooth prefs devices' list. THEN, if i want to use ichat, i have to re-pair the damn thing.

i don't have an iphone, but would the apple headset be any better at this? i'm not sure if it's the headset or the mac that's the problem. seems the mac though.
