I have a generic Bluetooth headset that worked great on my previous phone but I'm having some trouble with the iPhone.

The first time I pair the headset it works great. However, the next time I want to pair I turn on Bluetooth and my headset is listed as "Paired" already. The iPhone never actually connects to my headset though. I try just letting the phone have some time to reestablish a connection with my headset but it never does. I have to reconnect by unpairing it manually, then pairing it again which prompts me for a passcode which I have to enter again.

On my old phone I only had to enter in the passcode once the first time I set up the device and then each time I want to connect I just pick it from my list of Bluetooth devices and hit Connect.

Is this only my generic headset that has this problem?

I dont think its just your phone. Whatever the phone was paired with last, stays fixed on the screen when you come out of BT.

I always have to unpair and repair whatever Im using at the time.
