Bluetooth Icon

I like the clean look without unnecessary icons & I'm having trouble hiding my bluetooth icon. I uncheck the status bar in preferences, but it invariably reappears later.

How do I permanently hide it? I must be doing something wrong or missing a setting somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine go away once I click not to show it. Maybe it will disappear after a few moments? Did you try logging in and out?

Thanks for the reply. For one, it comes back if I have to reboot. It seems to come back on other occasions, as well.

Shouldn't the setting still apply even if I reboot? It always comes back after rebooting. Weird.

yeah it should. thats weird. You sure its the bluetooth symbol right? I mean mine works fine.
