is there a bluetooth instant messenger like ichat or msn etc? sometimes you want to say something that you don't want anyone to eavesdrop on and this might be useful. also msn and other apps like that are blocked where i am

Well if you have two macs with Airport, you can always use bonjour to send IMs and files between the two. They do have to be on the same network though.

that is a good idea, except if you want a private talk where nobody can watch you from the airport because some people know how to do that

I found this app called Veta Chat. It says it lets you chat between two macs over bluetooth.

You're safer talking over your AirPort connection than Bluetooth.

I know this post is a bit old, but...

I could really use an app like Veta Chat, but all the links I've tried to download it through are either dead or give me random code on the page when I should get a dmg. Does anyone know a link that's still good or have a copy of the program that they could compress and email me?
