Hi there

After abt 8years I switched back to Mac, all in all the MBP16 is a awesome device. But I think my Bluetooth stopped working.

The MBP isn’t showing up in other devices list, nor does it show any Bluetooth devices in Range.

I already did delete the according plist files, restetet the Bluetooth module, unloaded and loaded the kext and resetted the PRAM all with no success.

Sometimes it listed me the Bluetooth devices for a brief moment.

ps: I tested all devices and they did show on my windows laptop

It is now about 3 weeks old, so it is probably a hardware failure. Well at least it is so close after I bought it...
So I probably will return it to the Store tomorrow or send it in.
Can I directly ask for a replacement device or do I have to send it in?
Normally I would send it in, but as I didn‘t use any Apple product for the past few years (was a huge Apple fan bevore) I’m not familiar anymore how to best approach it here.

It’s more than 14 days since you received it, so you can’t just return it.

We have a lot of apple stores around here, so when I’ve been in a similar situation i make an appointment using the website or the apple support app, take the device in, and they typically hand me a new one if they have one in stock. But you should use apple’s website and follow whatever instructions it gives you, or call apple support and they’ll tell you what to do.

Well as the next Apple Store is abt an hour away by car and I have no car anyway it would not be my first choice. Can I also do this at a authorized resaler?

UPDATE:

Now it seams that it is discoverable, but still not able to connect or find any bluetooth devices
