Bluetooth keyboard connection issue with iOS 9.0.X

Have had a Belkin bluetooth keyboard with my iPad Air for a long time. Prior to upgrading to 9.0.x, when I hit any key on the keyboard, it wakes the iPad up. After the upgrade, it no longer does.

Anyone else experienced the same issue? Any suggestions? Thanks.
